I am the Director of Grace Note Child Care Centre.
I was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I graduated from Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education in 2014 and have been employed with Grace Note since October 2016.
I enjoy spending time with friends, watching The Toronto Maple Leafs lose, and being at the beach in the summertime.

Hi my name is Karen and I moved to Halifax from St. John’s Newfoundland over two years ago!
While in NL I attended the College of North Atlantic to get my trade in culinary arts. Upon graduation I worked in the food industry for 6 years and obtained my red seal certification. In the last year before moving to Halifax I worked as a chef at a local daycare and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Upon moving here I was fortunate to get a job at Grace Note and I love putting a smile on the faces of the kids everyday!
I enjoy the outdoors and love running and walking with my dog Bear! I also have a beautiful little girl named Scarlett that I love getting hugs and kisses from everyday!

I’m from Middle Sackville, NS. I graduated from St. Joseph’s College of Early Childhood Education in 2005.
I have been working at Grace Note since September 2010.
When I’m not working, I spend my time playing sports, trying new foods, bargain hunting, and snuggling baby animals.

I am from South Korea. I will be graduating from NSCC in May 2019.
I am the Inclusion Support Staff at Grace Note Child Care Centre.
I have my ECE Level 2 and am taking a part-time course from MSVU for Level 3. I published my poems in Korea in 2016.
I am so interested in learning other languages. Therefore, now I can speak Korean, Japanese, English and little bit of Chinese.
My goal is to speak 10 languages freely like my native language for the rest of my life.

I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and I graduated from St. Joseph’s College of Early Childhood Education in 2006.
I been working at Grace Note since 2011. I have worked in the Senior and Junior Toddler Classrooms and I am currently working in the Junior Preschool room
I have a 9 year old daughter and when I’m not working, I spend all of my time with her, doing fun activities together, such as going swimming and taking our puppy for long walks in the trails, as well as other child friendly activities.

I grew up on the South Shore of Nova Scotia and have lived in Halifax
since 1979. I worked in the public library system for 30 years as a
Library Assistant and Preschool Programmer at the Gottingen Street

I graduated from The Institute for Early
Childhood Education and Developmental Services in Truro, in 1999.
Since then, I have worked with children between the ages of 18 months
and 5 years.
I have been with Grace Note Child Care Centre for 8 years, most of
which I have worked with the toddler age group.

Hi my name is Katie
I’m originally from Vancouver BC. I’ve been working with children of
all ages for two years. I graduated from Acadia University in 2018
with my B.A. in Theatre Studies.
I use my passion for the arts and performing in my Green Room classroom through play and songs. I love to share my favourite artists like Elton John, Blue Rodeo and The Beatles with my class.
While we do activities such as colouring or building with blocks. I’m beginning my Level 1 ECE certification in May.

I was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2019, with my bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Studies.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading, and being outdoors. I am passionate about play-based learning, and am honored to be able to guide children as they interact with and learn from the world around them

I was born and raised in PEI. I studied at Holland Collegeand received my diploma in Early Childhood Education in 2013.
My favourite part about being an ECE is being a role model and friend to children. Supporting children and allowing them to explore the world around them and develop new skills to help them grow into little people.
Not only do I help them learn & grow, they are constantly teaching me new things too.When I am not working, you’ll find me at the beach or on a patio somewhere in the sun with friends.

I am a graduate of Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education, class of 2019. I have lived in Halifax my entire life and haven’t traveled anywhere further than Montreal! So traveling more outside of Nova Scotia is on my bucket list.
Some things I really enjoy doing is exploring around Nova Scotia, one place that comes to mind as a favourite of mine is Blomidon, NS. I also really enjoy trying new foods, and spending time with family.
I am very excited to start my journey in childcare at Grace Note, and thankful to be a part of your children’s journey as well.
